VICTORIAN COLLECTIONS DAY

  • National Wool Museum 26 Moorabool Street Geelong, VIC, 3220 Australia (map)

9:30-10:00 - Registration, tea and coffee on arrival | 10:00 - Event commences

A full day of information and discussions aimed at assisting the community collecting sector to achieve the best outcomes for their collections.

This year’s VC Day theme is Unravel/Re-ravel. The theme plays on both the idea of curiously tugging a thread to see how it unravels, and on the notion of bringing smaller elements together to create something beautiful.

Hear from museum and gallery industry experts and Victorian Collections peers who will discuss their projects through twin lenses – the benefits of bringing disparate people and elements together, and the benefits of breaking a challenge down to more manageable components.

Talks will include case studies and practical takeaways aimed at small to medium sized organisations who use Victorian Collections. Attendees will have the opportunity to join a behind-the-scenes tour of the National Wool Museum’s collection store, and explore the Museum’s exhibitions.
