ELLEN BRADLEY

Ellen Bradley is the Curator at the Melbourne Holocaust Museum, where she leads the development of permanent and temporary exhibitions centred on personal narratives, intergenerational experience, and the ethical representation of complex histories. She holds a Master’s in Curatorship from the University of Melbourne and has over a decade of experience across Victoria’s leading cultural institutions, including ACMI, Melbourne Museum, and the National Gallery of Victoria. Prior to her current role, she served as Assistant Curator at ACMI, leading temporary displays within the permanent gallery and contributing to major exhibitions, with earlier roles spanning touring coordination, exhibition project management, education and public engagement.

Her curatorial practice prioritises remembrance, reflection, and testimony, positioning individual and collective stories as instruments of education and social change. Community relationships are central to her practice, and she works closely with partner organisations to ensure exhibitions are meaningful and relevant to diverse audiences.

An advocate for established and emerging artists, she supports practices that explore personal histories, cultural memory, and the ongoing legacies of persecution and displacement. Drawing on traditional and innovative modes of storytelling, her work sits at the intersection of visual culture, social history and human rights.
