Executive

  • Represented AMaGA Victoria on the Arts Industry Council of Victoria, contributing to cross-sector advocacy priorities for the Victorian arts and cultural sector.

  • Coordinated state and national awards activity, including assessment meetings, site visits and preparations for the National Awards campaign launch in May.

  • Spoke at the 2026 Victorian Museums and Galleries Awards at Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, welcoming guests alongside Anne Robertson. A celebration of the sector’s achievements.

  • Met with Victorian Government representatives alongside members of the Accreditation Advisory Committee to progress clarification of Control of Weapons exemptions for museums and galleries.

  • Finalised AMaGA Victoria’s 2025 Annual Report, documenting a year of significant advocacy, funding outcomes and program delivery.

  • Convened the April AMaGA Victoria Branch Committee meeting and attended the AMaGA National Council meeting, progressing governance and strategic priorities at both state and national levels.

  • Attended the launch of Sriwhana Spong: HA HA HA at Monash University Museum of Art and met with volunteers at Music Archive of Monash University, strengthening relationships across the university museum sector.

  • Met with Regional Arts Victoria to explore future collaboration opportunities.

  • Facilitating the 2026-2029 Branch Committee Elections.

Accreditation

  • Visited East Gippsland Historical Society to discuss Key Document Scheme, tour exhibition space and meet with volunteers and Committee members.

  • Hosted online Key Document Scheme Information Session with attendance from 7 participating organisations.

  • Met with CMAP organisations who were reaccredited in 2025 CMAP to receive program feedback and discuss participant observations.

  • Drafting MAP and CMAP First Peoples Modules for the Accreditation Portal, from detailed guidance on proposed structures from Caroline Martin from Yalukit Marnang.

Communications

  • Promoted the 2026 Victorian Museums and Galleries Awards, highlighting the winners and shortlisted nominees. With mentions in regional papers such as Inside Local Government, Sentinel Times and Wangaratta Chronicle.

  • Reviewed AMaGA Victoria’s 2025 Annual Report for release in May.

  • Edited Video Content for AMaGA Victoria’s Seminar Series and Social Posts.

  • Launched the Seven Episode of the Closer Look Podcast. Listen here.

Victorian Collections

  • Delivered two 'Getting Started with VC' workshops for participants from the Dutch Australian Heritage Centre and Mallacoota Historical Society.

  • Prepared and published a post even recording of 'Meet VC', a free online information session for organisations considering using the Victorian Collections CMS - available via AMaGA Victoria's News.

  • Met with organisations working towards data migration, to provide support and advice for data preparation.

  • VC CMS was used by contributing organisations to catalogue 7437 items in April.

Internship

  • Initiated an 'industry meet-up' series, engaging in one-on-one knowledge sharing sessions with professionals to build sector knowledge and deepen knowledge of cultural heritage practices. 

  • Participated in 'She Shapes History' guided walking tour to explore underrepresented narratives and learn about the women who influenced Melbourne's development. 

  • Supported the programs team by assisting with award-related tasks.

  • Joined the CMAP listening sessions as an observer to identify the needs and challenges faced by community and volunteer-run museums, and access the benefits of accreditation for these institutions. 

  • Conducted independent study to expand understanding of community museums and their role in the society.

Programs and Professional Development

  • Celebrated a record-breaking Victorian Museums and Galleries Awards in April, with a sold-out celebration at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art.

  • Continued planning the 2026 Forum with the theme to be announced in the coming weeks.

  • Arranging the first GLAM Show of the year. We will be exploring Northern Victoria, including Echuca, Shepparton and other communities along the way.

  • Organised the She Shapes History Tour exploring the untold stories of the women who made their mark in Melbourne. This was attended by staff and AMaGA Members.
