Spotlight on Reaccreditation | Creswick Museum
The Australian Museums and Galleries Association Victoria is proud to announce that Creswick Museum has successfully achieved Reaccreditation as part of the 2025 Reaccreditation cohort through the Community Museum Accreditation Program (CMAP).
During its recent Reaccreditation, Creswick Museum received high praise for its dynamic presentation strategy, particularly its thoughtfully themed display rooms and regular rotation of core and temporary exhibitions. The Accreditation Panel also highlighted the extensive work undertaken by the team to establish a thorough suite of policies and documentation. Notably, the museum demonstrated commendable foresight by directly addressing physical space constraints within its collection policy, which strongly underpins its proactive, focused approach to artwork storage challenges.
“We are pleased to announce the Reaccreditation of CreswickMuseum. We welcome their ongoing commitment to continuous improvement. Through their Reaccreditation, they join a state-wide network of cultural institutions that promote meaningful and responsible museum practice.”
Ashley Robertson, Executive Director, AMaGA Victoria
"Reaccreditation has assisted us with professional advice and feedback, focusing us on providing to our community and visitors access, knowledge and enjoyment."
Geoff Newmarch, Secretary, Creswick Museum
The Community Museums Accreditation Program congratulates Creswick Museum on this significant milestone and looks forward to recognising their future achievements.
