Responded to CEP funding outcomes, meeting with Creative Victoria, Arts Industry Council of Victoria, philanthropic sector representatives, and others.
Reached out to bushfire and flood-affected communities to offer support and connect them with available resources.
Contributed to the development of the 2026 AMaGA Awards as part of the AMaGA National campaign.
Met with South Eastern Historical Association to discuss current challenges and support needs, and with a visiting ACMI X resident from Japan to discuss digital, immersive innovations within Victorian regional organisations.
Engaged Terri Janke and Company to support a governance-focused First Peoples initiative.
Attended the launch of the 2026 Observership Program at NGV, marking AMaGA’s inaugural year as a host organisation.
Accreditation
Supported organisations preparing applications for the newly opened Key Document Scheme.
Finalised reaccreditation reports in collaboration with peer review panels following 2025 site visits.
Hosted 2 online information sessions for the 16 organisations undertaking reaccreditation in 2026, outlining submission requirements, site visit expectations, and the new future-focused model incorporating lived experience advice.
Visited the accredited Essendon Football Club Hall of Fame to meet new museum staff and tour the redeveloped building and collection storage facilities.
Communications
Collaborated with Public Galleries Association of Victoria on the 2026 Victorian Museums and Galleries Awards campaign.
Redeveloped AMaGA Victoria’s social media strategy to strengthen engagement and sector visibility.
Updated emergency response information on our website to ensure access to current resources for bushfire and flood-affected communities.
Connected with Canadian sector counterparts to coordinate an upcoming professional exchange visit.
Victorian Collections
Finalised our January–June workshop program and introduced a new free information session, Meet VC, designed to support organisations considering using the Victorian Collections CMS.
Met with staff at Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio (MESS) to better understand their cataloguing system needs and explore how Victorian Collections can support their work.
Delivered the first Getting Started with VC online training workshop for 2026, welcoming participants from Mortlake, Bendigo, Phillip Island,andmetropolitan Melbourne.
Travelled to Harcourt to present a VC information session for historical societies across Mount Alexander Shire.
Internship
Participated in induction and orientation sessions across the Programs and Professional Development, Accreditation, Victorian Collections and Communications teams to build understanding of AMaGA Victoria’s work.
Met with sector stakeholders to discuss current challenges and explore ways AMaGA Victoria initiatives can provide practical support.
Attended the first Branch Committee meeting of the year to support AMaGA Victoria’s governance initiatives.
Initiated Round 1 of the Equipment Lending Program, support a regional organisation with the provision professional digitisation kits free of charge.
Programs and Professional Development
Published the 2026 Annual Program (January to June).
Delivered the first quarterly Grant Showcase, which is a free service for members to learn about current and relevant funding opportunities.
Commenced planning for the Seminar Series: Conservation and Preservation Essentials and Masterclass(with Veronica Pardo).
Began preliminary discussions with presenters and partners for the 2026 Forum: Beyond our Walls, to be held in July.
