Executive
Represented AMaGA Victoria on the Arts Industry Council of Victoria Board, concluding tenure as Co-Convenor and supporting the transition to incoming convenors.
Opened Victorian Branch Committee elections, with nominations closing 10 April.
Progressed partnership with Terri Janke and Company to develop a governance-focused First Peoples initiative.
Collaborated with Michelle Fracaro and sector stakeholders to shape the direction of the 2026 Forum - details to come.
Coordinated the Awards cycle, supporting 74 nominations, 21 judges, and 7 assessment meetings.
Working with National Council on the May launch of the National Awards campaign.
Attended key sector openings, including The Space Between at the Melbourne Holocaust Museum.
Met with CEO Katie Russell and representatives from the Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership to explore shared priorities.
Participated in a networking lunch with the Culture Academy Singapore (Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth) delegation, including High Commissioner Anil Kumar Nayar; co-presented an AMaGA Victoria in-focus session with Katie Russell.
Provided letters of support for two sector initiatives.
Accreditation
Met with Advisory Committee members to assess organisations against Key Document Scheme criteria, and invited new organisations to participate in this years program. The new organisations are:

Hosted our first Accreditation Advisory Committee Meeting for the year and discussed a variety of topic, including prohibited weapons legislation, upcoming Reaccreditations for 2026 and the current state of the sector and how this may impact Accredited organisations.
Continued to work on the new Accreditation Portal, and finalise module content for the Key Document Scheme.
Attended opening of Daily Traditions: Chinese ceramics in 19th and 20th Century Victoria at MAP Accredited Golden Dragon Museum.
Attended B-24 Liberator Commemoration Service held at The Sanctuary, Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne, by CMAP Accredited B-24 Liberator Memorial Australia.
Communications
Collaborated with Public Galleries Association of Victoria on the 2026 Victorian Museums and Galleries Awards campaign.
Promoted Nominations of the 2026-2028 AMaGA Victoria Branch Committee.
Updated consultancy register to include more organisational details.
Interviewed Dr Breann Fallon and Ariella Markman from the Melbourne Holocaust Museum for the Closer Look Podcast.
Victorian Collections
Launched a new public offering, ‘Meet VC’, a free online information session designed to support organisations considering using the Victorian Collections CMS, with participants joining from across the state including Geelong, Metropolitan Melbourne, Sale, Benalla, and Ballarat.
Delivered two workshops - ‘Getting Started with VC’ at Ivanhoe Library & Cultural Hub’ and ‘Digitisation Fundamentals’ held online – with attendees participating from across Metropolitan Melbourne, as well as Bendigo and Kyneton regions.
Met with staff from Museums Victoria’s First Peoples team for scoping discussions on collaborative development of cataloguing and collection care training for First Peoples community organisations in Victoria.
Travelled to meet with VC Users in inner east and southeast Metropolitan Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula and Yarra Ranges regions to provide guidance on the use of Victorian Collections and support to organisations currently preparing for data migration to the VC CMS.
Our contributing organisations used the VC CMS to catalogue 2646 items in March.
Internship
Assisted the Accreditation team with sourcing imagery for the Accreditation portal, preparing for sector use.
Co-developed and implemented a Professional Development Plan with the Executive Director, including strategic engagement with key sector leaders.
Joined VC team for meeting with staff from Museums Victoria First Peoples team for scoping discussions on collaborative development of cataloguing and collection care training for First Peoples community organisations in Victoria.
Strengthened sector knowledge and practical skills through professional development, including Victorian Collections workshops on Digitisation Fundamentals and Getting Started with Victorian Collections, and the Seminar Series session on Object Conservation and First Nations Protocols.
Programs and Professional Development
Led planning for the 2026 Forum, convening stakeholder meetings to shape the program; the Forum theme has been refined, with further details to be announced soon.
Facilitated the first Seminar Series session of the year, delivered by conservator Erina McCann on Object Conservation and First Nations Protocols with 33 attendees; the second session on Paper and Textiles Conservation is currently in development.
Progressed Awards planning and assessment processes, and confirmed to present at the Association of Eastern Historical Societies Conference on the topic of succession planning.
Responded to industrial action in the education sector affecting the She Shapes History tour, rescheduling to 14 April to ensure continuity; members are encouraged to join us.
