Executive
Represented AMaGA Victoria at the MAGNET Forum (OH&S network) and at a meeting of the Arts Industry Council of Victoria with Creative Victoria.
Kept the 2026 Victorian Sector Census moving through continued outreach and responses to sector enquiries, and extended the campaign by one week to give more organisations the opportunity to participate. With support from our volunteers, the team contacted more than 600 organisations across Victoria.
Analysed data and feedback from our 2026 Forum to inform the Executive Summary report, which is now in preparation.
Met with the National Awards Sub-Committee as nominations closed to prepare for the judging process.
Accreditation
Held catch up meetings with organisations working through the Key Document Scheme.
Reaccreditation site visits to: Benalla Costume and Kelly Museum, Buda Historic Home and Garden, Maryborough-Midlands Historical Society, Nagambie Historical Society, Royal Historical Society of Victoria, Stawell Historical Society, and Yarra Ranges Regional Museum.

Internship
Attended the quarterly Branch Committee meeting. Observing how the leadership discusses, navigates and responds to complex and difficult decisions continues to be a valuable learning experience.
Spent much of the month making outreach phone calls to collecting organistions as a part of the AMaGA Victoria Sector Census. This provided a valuable opportunity to engage directly, though briefly, with organistions and gain insights into their current circumstances.
Enjoyed a coffee catch-up with Michelle Moo, Manager, Exhibitions and Experience Design at the State Library Victoria (SLV). We discussed multiple topics including the role of SLV as a collecting orgainsation, the relevance of multicultural representation in exhibitions and the multiple layers of research, interpretation, collaboration, and design-thinking involved in curating and delivering exhibitions.
Programs and Professional Development
Successfully delivered the third session of our Preservation & Conservation Seminar Series, featuring Erina McCann discussing the care of stone and metal objects. The final session in the series will be delivered in October.
Held the third installment of our quarterly Grant Showcase, highlighting a range of funding opportunities relevant to the creative industries.
In preparation for our upcoming GLAM Show, invitations were sent to a range of Ballarat-based organisations. Our listening tour is now confirmed to take place at the Eureka Centre.
August also saw the development of the Forum report, alongside planning and development of our upcoming Succession Planning online workshop.
