This information sheet highlights considerations for lighting and photography setups to ensure accurate documentation when digitising collections. 

It is designed to be read following the Collection Digitisation - Project Planning information sheet, and in conjunction with the Collection Digitisation - Capturing Images and Collection Digitisation - Workflow information sheets.  

Whilst this information sheet has been developed for organisations using Victorian Collections to manage and share their collections, the advice and principles are broadly applicable to collecting organisations.
