Information Sheet: Collection Digitisation - Workflow

This information sheet highlights considerations for establishing a collection digitisation workflow that will increase the efficiency of digitisation, and decrease risk to collection items.  

It is designed to be read following the Collection Digitisation – Project Planning information sheet, and in conjunction with the Collection Digitisation – Photography Setups and Lighting and the Collection Digitisation – Capturing Images information sheets. 

Whilst this information sheet has been developed for organisations using Victorian Collections to manage and share their collections, the advice and principles are broadly applicable to collecting organisations.
